Russell is survived by his wife Susan, his son Brian Smith (Elizabeth), his daughters Vicki Gonzalez and Melissa (Thomas) Walters, his seven grandchildren, his sisters Christine Martin, Rosalie (William) Braun, Brenda Stacy and Renee (Neal) Anderson, and his brother Kenneth (Nancy) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Stephen, Michael, Gary and Darrell, and his sister, Noreen Smith.
