Community Service Fair March 31 at Nicolet
"As part of the college's mission to be in service to the people of northern Wisconsin, a big part of that is creating stronger communities to the greatest extent possible," Nicolet College President Kate Ferrel said in a press release announcing the fair. "By bringing all of these wonderful organizations together for one event, the public can come in and visit and learn what services might be available to them, to help them in their lives, and also what organization they may want to support through donations or volunteering time."
Presentations will take place from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Nicolet College Theatre followed by the Community Service Fair from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. where each organization will have an information booth in the Lakeside Commons on campus.
Organizations making presentations starting at 8 a.m. include Habitat for Humanity, National Alliance on Mental Illness - Northwoods (NAMI), Rhinelander Area Food Pantry, Rhinelander District Library, Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and WILD Instincts.
The event will run in conjunction with Nicolet's all-staff Campus Connection Day and a brief amount of college business will be conducted at the beginning of the 8 a.m. session.
