The Rebels knocked off Edgar 53-43 to earn their first trip to state as a merged program. Wabeno qualified as a standalone high school in 1982.
Grace Krawze and Malerie Krawze each scored 12 points for the Rebels, who led 24-14 at halftime. Reagen Borchardt paced Edgar with 13 points.
Rhinelander is also slated to host a D5 boys' basketball sectional final this coming Saturday. Wausau Newman, Stevens Point Pacelli, Three Lakes and Gibraltar are the teams still alive in the D5 sectional bracket.
