Although, she lived in Virginia during her childhood, Donna discovered her love for Wisconsin in her teens, where she spent her summers at her grandparents, and waitressed at the Chicken-in-the-Woods restaurant, which was operated by her grandparents.
Donna lived much of her adult life in Three Lakes, where she spent many years performing with Skip Wagner, providing hospitality services, and karaoke entertainment at the Oneida Village Inn, until it burned down in 2019. Since then, she has shared her skills and talents with other local establishments. Donna also served for many years as an event planner for a consulting company, which satisfied her love for traveling the world. She was lucky enough to visit many countries.
Donna had a beautiful singing voice and a fun-loving free spirit. She is known and loved by many local and visiting residents in the Three Lakes area.
She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Ferguson, uncle, Robert (Peggy) Danner, cousins, Carrie Jane Danner-Vozka, Lawrence Danner, Tom Danner, and Cheryl Ferguson, and children, and grandchildren of Carrie Jane, along with other extended family, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Ferguson, brother, Wilson Ferguson, aunt, Estelle Danner, maternal and paternal grandparents.
The visitation for Donna and Wilson will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Hildebrand Funeral Home, 24 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
