Town of Newbold seeks donations to community center project
Groundbreaking tpok place mid-April 2023 and the timeline for the finished Newbold Community Center is projected to be November 2023, with a grand opening slated for a date shortly thereafter, according to a town press release.
"The town is partnered with the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin to complete a fundraising campaign to offset the cost of the Newbold Community Center, thus attempting to reduce the amount of tax obligation for town of Newbold taxpayers," the release states. "Funds will be designated for anything from chairs, tables, office furniture, and kitchen appliances as needed to be able to open the doors yet this year. Thus far, those efforts have taken in over $15,000 in donations from generous individuals and families. The Town of Newbold is looking to continue these donation efforts to further lessen the burden of the taxpayers. For donation information and online giving, find us at our website www.newboldwi.gov."
Donations will be recognized on an "Honors Board" in the following manner:
Bronze: $100 to $499
Silver: $500 to $999
Gold: $1,000 to $1,999
Platinum: $2,000 to $4,999
Diamond: $5,000 or more
There are also designated naming rights of rooms within the community center.
Meeting room: $25,000
Conference room: $5,000 (generously donated already. Thank you!)
Kitchen: $10,000
Vestibule: $5,000
Earmarks: i.e. chairs/tables, office furniture, appliances, or outdoor furnishings.
