The team, which features Rhinelander's Ava Lamers and is coached by RHS girls' basketball coach Ryan Clark, practiced at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium Sunday, June 25.
The team gathered in Rhinelander Saturday for some team-building activities on an area lake.
The Northwoods is well represented on the squad. Lakeland's Julianna Ouimette and Antigo's Sophie Schlieve are also part of the 11-player team. Lakeland coach Melissa Ouimette and Rhinelander activities director Brian Paulson are serving as the team's assistant coaches.
The team left for Wisconsin Dells Monday morning and will take part in All-Star Game festivities leading into Wednesday's contest at JustAGame Fieldhouse.
Proceeds from the event go to support the Midwest Athletes against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund.
