The Rhinelander FACT group helps spread the truth about commercial tobacco through peer-to-peer advocacy.

On June 20, FACT group members took to downtown Rhinelander to help clean up cigarette butt litter.

According to an Oneida County Health Department press release, cigarette butts are the number one littered item in the United States. Vapes and cigarette waste also pollute the water, air, and land with plastic and toxic chemicals.

"Living in Northern Wisconsin, FACT members love to enjoy the outdoors. Some of their favorite activities are swimming, running, having picnics, and jumping on trampolines. Join the movement, pick up littered cigarette butts, e-juice bottles, vape pods, cigarillo wrappers, and chew cans. Together we can keep our Northwoods a beautiful place to play," the release states.
