Northwoods Veterans Homestead takes big step with land purchase
"The closing was appropriately held on Flag Day at Northwoods Title & Closing Services, and we would like to thank Northwoods Title for donating the closing costs to our organization," the group said in a press release. "We would also like to thank the previous owners, John Taylor and Barbara Taylor, for selling us the property at a discounted price because they support our mission. The property is located east of Rhinelander on River Bend Road in the township of Pelican. Look for our 'Future Home of Northwoods Veterans Homestead' sign, which will be displayed soon. We are so very grateful for our wonderful community for supporting our mission. Without your support, donations, and volunteerism, this would have never been possible. We will be having lots of fundraisers coming up so we can break ground and take the next major step in taking care our homeless veterans."
