Dishaw scores Eagle River B-Mod win on last-lap pass

Ontonagon, Michigan's Dave Dishaw stormed past Eagle River's Jason Zdroik on the final circuit and went on to collect the B-Modified feature win at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday, June 6.

For the balance of the contest it appeared Zdroik was on his way to another victory. Up until four laps remaining in the race Zdroik had successfully fended off both Dishaw and Wausau's Scott Swanson.

However, a caution tightened the field with four to go and Dishaw earned his first feature flag of the season. Zdroik settled for second at the pay window, followed by defending division champion Jesse Aho, Swanson and Tad Schoonover.

Zdroik wound find redemption of sorts after leading every lap en route to a Late Model feature win.

Defending track champion Andy Fink of Minocqua bested the field in the 600 Micro Sprint division, copping the feature win.

Defending track champion David Blackberg continued his winning ways in the Stock Car class - scoring back-to-back feature wins in the division. Blackberg sweated out a handful of yellows and steady pressure at times from Ryan Glembin to secure the win.

The "Mayor of Sugar Camp" Jason Eisel dodged a handful of caution periods to win the Street Stock feature.

Hometown driver Lucas Zdroik earned a popular 300 Micro Sprint feature win - the first of his career. It was another hometown racer, Mason Meier who captured the other division main event.

Weekly racing will resume tonight, Tuesday, June 13. The first green flag flies at 7:30 p.m. For further information fans are advised to check the track's Facebook page.
