Library announces summer programming

The theme for this year's summer reading program at the Rhinelander District is All Together Now: Unity in the Community.

As part of that program, the library is partnering with local businesses to offer patrons the chance to play Bibliopoly and enter to win prize packages. Adult patrons can play by picking up a Bibliopoly board at the library and completing the challenges to earn raffle tickets, according to a library press release.

Winners will be drawn randomly for three prize packages: a family-themed package, a friends-themed package, and a couples-themed package. Prizes have been generously donated by local businesses.

All Together Now will kick off with an all-ages Reading & Seeding Planting Program on Monday, June 12 at 6 p.m. Patrons, librarians, and Beth Hanson will work together to plant flowers and vegetables outside in the library's new patio garden. All ages are welcome.

In keeping with All Together Now, the library is also building a community puzzle.

Help create a giant community puzzle at the library by designing your own 6"x6" piece.

Everyone who participates will receive a picture of the puzzle upon completion.

The finished size is 3' x 6', and it will be displayed in the adult department at the library.

More information the summer reading program will be published in a future edition of the River News.
