Born on June 15, 1957, son of the late Howard and Marjorie Linman Lovestead, Scott grew up in Rhinelander. He is survived by Beth's three children whom he loved and cared for very much, Jessica Lovestead, Joseph Porrello III, and Alyssa Porrello-Nashed (Mark). He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Mary Ann McAdam, and Andre Ford, his right-hand man.
Growing up spending countless hours on a lake in the Northwoods of Wisconsin not only gave Scott an appreciation for nature but also led him to remain curious and resourceful, a forever student throughout his entire life. It was almost impossible to find a topic that Scott wasn't knowledgeable on and if you did, he would do his research to learn.
Some of his fondest memories were of summers spent at Camp Tesomas in Rhinelander, to which he always felt indebted to for building his character and fostering many of his passions and hobbies. Scott, always ambitious, could accomplish just about anything he put his mind to, which led to his various degrees, accolades, and successful business ventures throughout his life and something he was very proud of.
Scott and his beloved wife shared a love of cooking and music as Scott was an accomplished cook and pianist. They were soulmates and had unwavering love for each other and the utmost respect. His wife and those that loved him will always remember his selflessness, sense of humor, caring nature, and generosity.
A memorial visitation took place from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 6 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Burial will be private. Please see his online memorial @ www.wsclancy.com.
