Colleen Kaye Thompson

Colleen Kaye Thompson, age 54 of Rhinelander, died on July 18, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer for seven years. She was born on June 15, 1969, in Rhinelander, to Ron and Margaret (Shinke) Olson.

Colleen graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1987. She worked at the Hodag Shopper for many years, and then waitressed which she loved doing.

Colleen loved spending time with her family and friends and always enjoyed the little things. She was very loyal friend with a huge heart and cared about everyone and treated them like family. She had a twisted sense of humor and was always smiling and laughing. 

Colleen was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her son Ethan (Grace) Thompson, her daughters Ashley Thompson and Elizabeth Ahlborn, her grandson Kaiden, her granddaughters Katie, Holly, June, Adaline and Autumn, her brother Jerrod (Michelle) Olson, her sister Rhonda (Zach) Crowell, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Colleen will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Carlson Funeral Home.
