Shirley Ann Eades
Shirley Ann Eades, age 85, of Rhinelander, died on July 8, 2023, at the Friendly Village Nursing Home. with her loving family at her side. She was born on June 4, 1938, in Bundy, the daughter of Nathan and Gladys (Bowman) Pence.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1957. On June 14, 1958 she married the love of her life, LeRoy Eades, and God blessed them with 65 years of marriage. Over the years Shirley worked for Montgomery Wards, Schultz's Family Store, Prange Way, the Rhinelander Daily News, Leuthold's Clothing and Carpetiers.
Shirley enjoyed quilting, cross-stitching, and doing puzzles. Earlier in life she bowled in League. She cherished her membership in the "Do Nothing Girls Club" and she and LeRoy enjoyed the many events they participated in together through the Lions club and many other organizations in town.
Shirley is survived by her husband LeRoy, her sons Tracy (Shelley) Eades and Brian (Jen) Eades, her grandchildren Tara (Chris) Petreikis, Kevin (Brandy) Eades, Alex (Anthony) Panetta and Patrick Eades, her great-grandchildren Nicholas, Emma and Hudson Petreikis, Olivia and Jaxon Eades, Patrick and Nico Panetta, Trevor (Rachel) Lopez, Trenton Lopez-Kurth and Alyssa Brown; great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughters Jessica Lopez and Dani Rude-Spiess; siblings Robert, Frank, James, Nathan Jr. Neil, Joyce and Alice and her parents.
Visitation for Shirley will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon, with funeral services following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Reverend Mark Klaisner will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Eades family at www.carlsonfh.com.
