Delores Jane Vozka, of Rhinelander, died on July 9, 2023, at the Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital. She was born on Feb. 10, 1937, in Madison, the daughter of Erich and Thelma (Turk) Wagner.

Delores was born and raised in Madison and attended schools there. She moved to Rhinelander in 1969 and lived her for a number of years before returning to Madison to live with her high school sweetheart, Thomas Meinholz. While in Rhinelander Delores had been employed by Woolworths, K-Mart and the Rhinelander school district. In 2011, Delores returned to Rhinelander and has lived here since.

Delores was a huge fan of Elvis and of the Hodag Country Festival. She attended each one since its inception in 1978. She loved cooking and baking and was well known for her "Rye" bread. She will be greatly missed by her family, extended family, HCF family and many friends who knew her as "Mom Vozka" and or "Grandma D".

Delores is survived by her daughters Debra (Jim) Wittmann and Karen Perry, her sons Mark (Cindi) Vozka, Gary (Cindy) Vozka, and Randy Vozka, her grandchildren Joey, Jessica, John-Paul, Travis, James, Nicole, Amanda, Kyle, Ericka, Desiree, and Brianna, her great-grandchildren Akadia, Alea, Juniper, Kaia, Merrick, Ayla, Raya, Jace, Mack, Warren, Joey, Oliver, Sylvia, and Felix; her brother Roland Gugel, her brother-in-law LaMonte Bitton, her ex-husband Emil Vozka Jr., nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her special friend of 23 years Thomas Meinholz, her sister Lydia King, and her grandparents.

Visitation for Delores will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services following at 1 p.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. If you are able to attend, the family wishes that you consider wearing something purple, which was Delores' favorite color.
