Applications being accepted for 2023-24 Leadership Oneida County program year

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 2023-24 class of Leadership Oneida County.

According to a chamber press release, Leadership Oneida County is a nine-month program for people involved in the Oneida County community and those who seek to become even more involved in our community. The program caters to people who live and work in Oneida County and are committed to developing our quality of life.

“Previous participants say they learn a lot about their own home region,” the release states. “Each month the candidates focus on a theme in Oneida County — from education to industry to tourism and beyond. They meet local leaders, tour businesses, and learn about the community around them. As participants increase their understanding about the county, they work with program facilitators to develop their leadership potential. Leadership knowledge and skills grow as participants partner with community organizations to complete service projects. In total, they position themselves to contribute more meaningfully to the Oneida County community.”

The program kicks off with a retreat in September followed by monthly day-long sessions and year-end graduation in May 2024. 

Program days are the second Thursday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Candidates are encouraged to apply early. Candidates applying from Chamber member businesses of any Oneida County Chamber of Commerce will get a discounted fee of $400. Non-Chamber member fees are $450. Program fees include the retreat, assessments and materials. 

Limited scholarships are available to applicants.
