Four Northwoods residents are facing multiple felony charges after a woman reported being held captive, strangled and beaten at a residence in the Town of Pine Lake in late December.

According to Oneida County patrol captain Tyler Young, on Dec. 22 law enforcement received information that a female was dropped off at St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.

"The female subject stated that she had been held captive, tied to a chair, strangled with a belt, and beaten at a residence in the Town of Pine Lake, Oneida County," Young wrote in a press release announcing the charges.

As a result of the investigation, four subjects were arrested and have been charged by the Oneida County district attorney's office.

Jay William Lloyd, 38, listed as homeless, is charged with possession of methamphetamine (second and subsequent offense), false imprisonment (party to a crime)(repeater), robbery with use of force (repeater), battery (repeater).

He is being held on a $20,000 cash bond and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 10.

Laura Lynn Schultz, 38, Rhinelander, is charged with two counts of false imprisonment (repeater) and possession of methamphetamine (second and subsequent offense)

She is being on a $15,000 cash bond and her next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 13.

Andrew Paul Horbinski, 30, listed as homeless, is charged with two counts of false imprisonment (party to a crime), possession of methamphetamine, felony bail jumping and robbery with use of force. He is being held on a $15,000 cash bond and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 9.

Darren Marcus Hewison, 33, Rhinelander, is charged with two counts of false imprisonment (repeater)(party to a crime), possession of methamphetamine (second and subsequent offense), two counts of felony bail jumping (repeater), three counts of second degree sexual assault/use of force (repeater) (domestic abuse - sexual assault), strangulation and suffocation (repeater) (domestic abuse - infliction of physical pain or injury), substantial battery - intend bodily harm (repeater) (domestic abuse - infliction of physical pain or injury) and robbery with use of force (repeater).

He is being held on a $20,000 cash bond and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 10.

The Rhinelander Police Department assisted the sheriff's department with this investigation, according to the release.
