An independent conservative speaks out

To the Editor:

During the summer of 2021 I had never been an official member of any political party locally, but I knew I wanted to speak with likeminded conservatives and help advocate for accountability and closure to the maladministration that WEC allowed and encouraged the Wisconsin 5 to conduct so I reached out multiple times to the only email I could find for the Republican Party of Oneida County to get direction. I asked when I would be able to attend a meeting? The answer was February 2022 at the caucus, 6 months later. I proceeded to tell them I was in support of the resolution they had recently submitted demanding that the Legislature conduct a full forensic audit of 2020 Wisconsin Presidential Election. By then it had been proven that Robin Vos's office supported the use of drop boxes statewide.

At the 2022 RPOC caucus I was offered to speak about resolutions that other counties were proposing but because there was nothing on the agenda, I knew there was not going to be a vote. This was my first event and I am not much for public speaking so I declined to speak. After I declined, it was clear the civil servant planted at a table next to me wanted to defend the decisions made by Republican leadership regarding past elections and people with my opinion need to stop reading Gateway Pundit, be quiet, and focus on getting Evers out of office. Those that were there know who that was, and many will not dare question their authority. It was decided that there were not going to be any planned meetings because they are a boring waste of time, and no one attends. So, I took the opportunity to be a delegate of Oneida County at the district caucus. While I was there, I learned that the majority of our district has the same views as me regarding leadership decisions. That inspired me to go to the state convention, only to find out the majority there also had the same views.

Since the caucus in February last year, the RPOC has not held a single meeting.

The RPOC has recently denied my membership based on my MAGA views. How many others are being denied?

I hope those that attend next month's 2023 RPOC caucus read the 50-year-old by-laws/constitution and demand involvement (oversight) and refuse gaslighting by the dictatorship.
