In a statement, Jensen said, "First of all I would like to thank my parents for the tireless hours they have spent on me in my career, the long drives to games, buying me all the gear I need and for dealing with me throughout all the tough times. Next, I would like to thank my coaches. You guys saw the potential in me and let me grow and mature as a player but, more importantly, a person. I'd like to give special thanks to (RHS head football) Coach (Aaron) Kraemer. You have taught me that football is more than a game, it's a family and I know I can live the rest of my life with the lessons you have taught me, and be a better person for my family and my community. Lastly, I'd like to thank (UW-Oshkosh head) Coach (Peter) Jennings and (Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line) Coach (Rich) Worsell for giving me this amazing opportunity."
Jensen was a three-year starter at center for the Hodags, though his sophomore and senior seasons were cut short due to injury. Jensen was a second team All-GNC offensive lineman in 2021 and received honorable mention on the offensive line in 2022.
