Kelly Jo Wilmot

Kelly Jo Wilmot, age 52 of Rhinelander, died on Dec. 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 17, 1971, to Richard Wilmot Sr. and Beverly (Richards) Molzner.

Kelly attended schools in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1989. After graduation, she moved to Neenah for cosmetology school.

At 22 years old, Kelly suffered a life-changing car accident and spent the rest of her days at home with her family. She loved her family and friends, but above all, her son Cody was her everything. Kelly will be remembered for her vivacious and outgoing personality and her great smile.

Kelly is survived by her son Cody Wilmot, her mother Beverly Molzner (Denny Running), her sisters Brenda Wilmot, Leda (Gary) Vandervest and Melissa Lee, her brothers Richard (Gayle) Wilmot, Scott Wilmot, Grant (Terri) Wilmot, and Brent (Meg) Wilmot, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Sr., her brother Mark, her stepmother Carla Wilmot, and her stepfather Gordon Molzner.

There will be a visitation for Kelly on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Carlson Funeral Home.
