Former MMA fighter Frank Schuman sentenced to six years in prison

A former mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter from Lac du Flambeau was sentenced in Outagamie County court Monday to six years in prison.

30 year-old Frank Schuman pleaded guilty in October to two counts of domestic-related battery and disorderly conduct and one count of strangulation and suffocation. 

The charges stem from incidents in April and May of 2022 that involved an ex-girlfriend. 

Schumann, who also faces trials in Vilas and Oneida counties in early 2024 on several similar felony charges related to alleged domestic violence incidents in early 2022, will also serve four years of extended supervision in the Outagamie case.
