Jeanne Marie Ravet

Jeanne Marie Ravet, age 77, of Rhinelander, passed away Nov. 22, 2023 at the Friendly Village Nursing Home in Rhinelander, with her family at her side. She was born on May 23, 1946 in Crystal Falls, Mich., the daughter of Benjamin and Viola (Koski) Lange. She was one of seven children.

Jeanne married John Ravet on March 2, 1986 in Iron River, Mich. John & Jeanne collected antiques and attended The Church of God in Rhinelander. Jeanne raised her one daughter Holly, by herself, and they were very close. She had a strong faith and was very close with her extended family. She loved to shop and go to sales with her sisters, husband and her daughter.

Jeanne was a loving mother, wife grandmother, great-grandmother & sister. She had a beautiful smile, funny little sayings, and a great sense of humor. She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. She will be forever remembered, loved & greatly missed by her family. We know she's up in Heaven watching over us.

Jeanne is survived by her husband John Ravet, her daughter Holly (William) Shepherd, her grandchildren Jeremiah and Bethany Erickson and Dakota Shepherd, her great grandchildren Alexander (Ander) Erickson, Maisie and Auri Hodor, her stepdaughters Marchetta and Laura, her stepson John, her sisters Bonnie Kaskisto and Patricia Morford, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters MaryBeth and Barbara, her brothers Jeffrey and Bruce and a baby brother.

Visitation for Jeanne will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9 to 11 a.m., with memorial services following at 11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Price will be officiating. The family asks that you wear something purple to the services as it was Jeanne's favorite color.
