Remembering the Belles

Stephen “Skip” Jahnke, right, a 1963 graduate of Rhinelander High School, along with his daughter, Brenda DeMarco, left, a member of the Class of 1988, present Tracey O’Brien Barnes with a donation to be displayed at the Pioneer Park Historical Complex’s Belles of St. Mary’s exhibit, in memory of their wife and mother, Sandra “Punk” Newman Jahnke. Mrs. Jahnke was a member of the Belles of St. Mary’s from 1959-1961. Included in their donation are numerous photographs and articles which were saved by Mrs. Jahnke, along with drumsticks, a patch, medal, trumpet mouthpiece, and a financial donation for upkeep.
