Patricia Ann Jensen

Patricia Ann Jensen, age 76, of Pelican Lake, died on Aug. 5, 2023, at her home.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1946, in Port Washington, the daughter of Vernon and Elizabeth (Zastrow) Nims. 

After her graduation from high school she attended nursing school and became an RN. She worked at various places but her favorite was with Dr. Kate's Home Health and Hospice. Everything came full circle as Pat and her family were eternally grateful for the exceptional care, medically and otherwise, that she received at the end of her own life. 

Julie Olson and many others will never be forgotten by her family. 

Pat married her high school sweetheart, Richard Jensen, on Feb. 25, 1967 in Campbellsport, and God blessed them with over 56 years of marriage. They moved to the Pelican Lake area in the early 1970s and have lived there since. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, fishing and golfing. She was very proud of her hole-in-one at the 16th hole at Nicolet Golf Course in Laona.

Pat is survived by her husband Richard, her daughter Elizabeth (Steven) Gruszynski, her son Richard (Kristin) Jensen, her five grandchildren Kyleigh (Eric), Matthew, Mollee, Meghan and Sara, her great-grandchild Bailey, her sister Cindy Dobie, her brother David (Lu) Nims, other family and friends, most importantly the remaining seven of the “crazy eights.” Graveside services and interment will be held at the Northwoods National Cemetery on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. Father Kevin Farrell will officiate. If you are able to attend please wear something purple as it was Pat's favorite color. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving the Jensen family.
