Eight former Hodags make WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll

The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its All-Academic Award winners and Scholastic Honor Roll recipients for the 2022-23 academic year on Monday.

Eight former Rhinelander High School student-athletes who competed in the WIAC last year were named to the Scholastic Honor Roll: 

• Connor Lund, football, UW-Oshkosh

• Jacques Tulowitzky, football, UW-Oshkosh

• Tim Fox, wrestling, UW-Oshkosh

• Isaac Bixby, baseball, UW-Platteville

• Joe Schneider, baseball, UW-Stevens Point

• Jacob DeMeyer, baseball, UW-Whitewater

• Drake Martin, football, UW-Whitewater

• Rebecca Lawrence, track and field, UW-Whitewater.

The WIAC stated more than 50% of the student-athletes competing in the conference achieved a 3.0 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale) and were named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. 

Additionally, all eight WIAC institutions earned the All-Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year, marking the second time in conference history (2021) every institution secured the distinction.

The WIAC presents an All-Academic Award to those institutions that have a grade point average for its student-athletes that is equal to, or greater than, the grade point average of the overall student body.
