Calvary announces Car Cruise for a Cause

Calvary Baptist Church’s second annual Car Cruise for a Cause will be held on Saturday, August 19, in Rhinelander. Participants are encouraged to meet at the Home Depot parking lot in Rhinelander (closest to Lincoln Street) from 2 to 3 p.m., with the car cruise leaving the parking lot at 3 p.m., organizers said in a press release.

The car cruise is totally free and just for fun, the release notes.

 According to Pastor Rod Ankrom, “Hot rods, muscle cars, sports cars, convertibles, rat rods, cars in progress, Corvettes, restored classics, ‘survivors,’ street rods — if you love driving your ride, we encourage you to cruise with us. There will be free ice cream for all cruisers at the end of the cruise. And because every cruise needs a cause, we will have a donation bucket set out for Rhinelander Boys and Girls Club.”
