Associated Bank employees participate in Volunteer Day of Service

Associated Bank hosted its first companywide Volunteer Day of Service on Wednesday, July 26. During this event, hundreds of colleagues from over 100 communities volunteered in activities such as packaging, sorting and organizing food to ensure food security and efficient distribution to those in need.

 “Community means something really special at Associated Bank — and for our colleagues, that starts with volunteering,” Andy Harmening, president and CEO of Associated Bank, explained in a press release. “Our Volunteer Day of Service was focused on food security because it supports a basic need across all our markets and it is a cause that our colleagues are passionate about.”

 Associated Bank colleagues enjoyed their various volunteer activities, the release states.

“We were absolutely impressed and blown away by what we learned and experienced,” stated a colleague.

 Some of the local benefiting organizations included:

 • Northwoods Wildlife Center, Minocqua

• Northwoods Children’s Museum, Eagle River

• Super One Foods, Park Falls

• Snow’s Family Market, Mercer

• Crandon Public Library

More than 50% of colleagues volunteered, providing 6,000+ hours of service which is equal to approximately $200,000 in community service value, the release said.
