Sylvia Gniotczynski

Sylvia (Szabrowicz) Gniotczynski, age 80, passed away with family at her side on Monday, July 31, 2023.

She was born to June Braasch Szabrowicz and Bernard Szabrowicz on Sept. 14, 1942, in Milwaukee. She married Ron Gniotczynski in Milwaukee and they later divorced.

Lovingly known as Mrs. G. to the children of Nativity School where she volunteered for many years, Sylvia was a kind and giving woman. She was always there to help others, her love, strength and generosity knew no bounds.

She is survived by her son, Matthew (Krishell) of Illinois, brothers, Ben (Rose) Szabrowicz of Arkansas, Charles (Peggy) Glover of Rhinelander, sisters, Lora (Marvin) Laspa of Rhinelander, Cindy (Michael) Johnson of Milwaukee, grandsons, AJ, and Jayden Gniotczynski. She is also survived by nieces, and nephews, Sandy and Benji Szabrowicz, Scott and Chris Beuthin, Nathan, Tura, and Nicholas Glover, Erick and Kevin Laspa, and Brent and Rachel Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ann Beuthin and son, Kenny.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Milwaukee, at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
