He was born on Dec. 29, 1962, in Brookfield, to William and Erika (nee Wolters) Browne.
Paul relocated with his parents to Rhinelander in 1980 and graduated from Rhinelander High School.
Paul spent much of his career in the food industry. He was a terrific cook, sharing his culinary talents with the residents and his co-workers at Milestone Senior Living in Rhinelander, and family and friends when we were lucky. He was an avid reader, loved to fish and play board games, and loved living in the Northwoods. He was a skilled cribbage player, sharing his knowledge and love for the game with his nephews, and regularly trouncing his siblings!
Paul is survived by his sisters, Laurie (Mark) Eder of Brookfield and Susan (David) Wipijewski of Merton, brother, Thomas (Debbie) Browne of McNaughton and niece and nephews, Kaitlin, Michael, Bryan and Will.
He is further survived by his dear Aunt Sigrid, cousins Heidi and Walter, and Angela, and her children Amber and David, along with many dear friends and co-workers.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his Uncle Leslie (Bud), and beloved dog Molly. He took loving care of his late mother during the last years of her life, for which his family will be forever grateful.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials to the Rhinelander Animal Shelter are appreciated.
Visitation for Paul will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon, with memorial services following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home.
Reverend Richard Miller will be officiating. A complete notice will follow shortly. You may leave your private condolences for the Browne family at www.carlsonfh.com.
