RHS sports recap: Saturday, April 22
The Hodag boys' tennis team wrapped up play in the De Pere Invite winning two of their final three matches on Saturday, to finish 3-3 overall for the tournament. Rhinelander fell to Mukwonago 6-1 but then beat Ashwaubenon (6-1) and Appleton North (5-2).
Dalton Fritz and John Currie each picked up two wins Saturday at Nos. 1 and 2 singles. Charlie Heck and Leo Losch won both of their matches at No. 2 doubles, and lost a match tiebreaker against Ashwaubenon at No. 1 doubles. Eli Lundt and Dawson Pontell also went 2-1 on the day between Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, with their lone loss coming in a match tiebreaker against Mukwonago.
Rhinelander (7-4, 2-0 Great Northern) travels to Medford on Monday.
