She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Mineau; her mother, Frances Marcus; her stepfather, Emil Marcus; and her brother, Joseph Mineau.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Tara) Quade of Aurora, Ill.; her daughter, Christine Quade of Merrill; her five grandchildren, Rory (Lindsey) Konrath, Tracy (Kelsie) Robinson, Jessica (Justin) Carstensen, Rebecca (William) Busen, and Rachel Quade; her three great-grandchildren, Croix Robinson, Lauralie Konrath, and Zackery Konrath; and her two nephews, Ryan and Eric Mineau.
Mary graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1958. After graduation, she worked at Montgomery Wards for two years. She married Robert Quade in 1960 and moved to Fort Campbell, Ky. where he was stationed in the service. After 6 months, they returned to Rhinelander where they had two children and raised their family.
Mary worked in food service for the Rhinelander school system for 35 years, retiring in 2006. During her last few years in food service, she was baking for seven different schools.
She simultaneously held a second job in retail at Fashion Bug for 16 years where she remained employed until the store closed in 2010.
In her free time, Mary enjoyed attending flea markets as well as arts and crafts shows.
She also had a passion for growing and caring for her flowers and plants.
A private family memorial service will be planned at a future date.
