Hodags' Eckrich announces Eau Claire commitment
"I'm extremely grateful and excited to announce that I am committed to UW-Eau Claire," Eckrich announced in a tweet. "I want to thank my coaches, friends, and family for all of the support over the years. I can't wait for this next chapter."
Eckrich was Rhinelander's leading receiver in the 2022 season, catching 20 passes for 133 yards. He also had a 79-yard kickoff return touchdown in the Hodags' season opening game against Tomahawk.
UW-Eau Claire went 2-8 overall in 2022, and posted a 1-6 record in the WIAC.
