The stories were recorded at weekly campfires, transcribed, and later edited for publishing by professional writer Dwight Clough of Pardeeville, according to a Fort Wilderness press release.
"This 186-page collection of stories and photos capture their experiences at camp over 50 years, which reflect on the wonder of living and working at this special place in the Northwoods," the release states. "The impact of dedicating their entire lives to serving others through Fort Wilderness has left an indelible imprint on the lives of tens of thousands of campers."
"Ron and Tom are master story tellers who follow in the footsteps of their father, Truman, inspiring, humoring and motivating thousands around campfires through the years," noted Todd Leyden, executive director. "They have richly added to the important history and legacy of this impactful and beautiful Christian camp in the Northwoods for future generations."
