Public advised convicted sex offender has returned to Rhinelander area

Humlie is residing at 4244 Lake Creek Road/County Highway W in the town of Pine Lake, the release states.
According to the release, Humlie has been convicted of multiple child sex crimes.
In 1997, Humlie was convicted of two counts of having sex with a child under the age of 16 years old in Oneida County, the release states. In 1998, he was convicted of two child sexual assault crimes in Oneida County. In addition, while living in Alabama in 2022, he was convicted for failing to maintain sex offender registry and placed on probation for two years.
His probation has been transferred to Oneida County and he is being supervised by probation agent Alex Bunce, the release states.
Humlie is required to register as a sex offender for life.
As a reminder, citizens can find information about sex offenders at https://appsdoc.wi.gov/public.
"If you go to the Community Notification tab on this site, you can request to be emailed whenever a sex offender moves within a certain distance from your home," the release states. "Also, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office has a sex offender monitoring program that is supervised by Detective Sergeant Hebein. If anyone has any concerns about Mr. Humlie, they can contact agent Bunce at 715-365-2544 or Hebein at 715-361-5100 during regular business hours. Outside of these hours please contact the Oneida County Telecommunications Center at 715-361-5201."
