Both squads had four top 10 finishers to win a six-team meet that included the majority of GNC schools. JWMS edged Tomahawk by five points for the girls' title and finished 22 points ahead of Medford in the boys' division.
Avrom Barr won the boys' 3.2-kilometer race for the Hodags with a time of 11 minutes, 49.4 seconds. Jackson Weinzatl was third, Henry Schmitz finished fourth and Michael Tredupp was seventh for the Hodags. Austen Slette (19th), Juan Diego Grage (38th) and Chasin Wallmow (41st) rounded out the team's top seven.
Teagan Clark (13:18.6) edged Tomahawk's Elise Gibeault to the line by 1.1 seconds to win the girls' race. Ella Miljevich was third for Rhinelander, with Lucy Eddy sixth and Aleece Johnson ninth. Hayley Schiek (11th), Noelle Mayo (29th) and Karly Gillingham (38th) rounded out the team's scorers and displacers.
