LeRoy "Roy" Javenkowski
Roy loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed fishing throughout the lakes of the Northwoods and also on the Great Lakes. He was a regular on the "Fishing With Andy" TV series which ran locally in the 1970s. His stringer of impressive walleyes has adorned the interior of the AlGen supper club for many years.
Roy is survived by his son Jeffrey (Lisa) Javenkowski, his grandchildren Jake, Paul and Steven, his sister Virginia Schaeffer, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Dave, Carl, Clarence and Joseph and his sister, Leona.
Visitation for Roy was held on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at noon, at the Carlson Funeral Home in Rhinelander. Interment will be in the Three Lakes Cemetery. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving the Javenkowski family.
