John Eric Arrowood Sr.
John was born in Antigo on Aug. 24, 1962, to John L. and Christine C. (Kaplan) Arrowood. John was raised in Antigo until the family moved to Rhinelander where John completed his education, graduating in 1980 from Rhinelander High School. After graduation, John was employed as a cook at various restaurants and at the jail. He was united in marriage to Jane Treder on September 1, 1992, at the courthouse in Stambaugh, Mich. The couple lived in Rhinelander until John's passing. John began a new career in 2008, being employed at WJFW Channel 12 as a director, retiring in 2020 due to his health.
John enjoyed working with electronics, fishing and loved his four-legged companion, Peanut.
He was a member of the Northwood's Vineyard Church.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Jane; children, Rebecca Arrowood of Tomahawk, John Arrowood Jr. of Antigo, Paige Prince of Green Bay, Lloyd Maleug of Antigo, Duane Ratliff of Missouri, and Jason (Missy) Ratliff of Rhinelander; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and siblings, Bob (Sara) Arrowood of Antigo and Ron Arrowood of Milwaukee. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Arrowood, and by one brother, Mike Arrowood.
A Celebration of John's Life will take place at a later date.
