She was born in Milwaukee, on January 24, 1957, where she grew up before eventually making the Northwoods her home. Linda found her true calling as a mother and devoted her heart, soul, and life to raising four children with plenty of warmth, love and humor.
Those who knew her well appreciated her selfless nature and intelligence. Pastime passions included reading books and listening to music - especially any good Beatles tune.
Linda is survived by her best friend and husband of 43 years, Dan of Park Falls; her children Dan (Melissa) Skeen of Rhinelander, Nick (Breyan) Skeen of Green Bay, and daughter-in-law Jennifer Skeen of Rhinelander; her brothers John of Peoria, Ariz., Anthony (Rick) of Cape Coral, Fla., Steve (Trudy) of Neenah, and brother-in-law Greg; her grandchildren Ross, Mikaela, Addison, Avery, and James; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Sandra Hurley, son Paul, daughter Jennifer, and sister Jane.
The family would like to thank the Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls staff for their care during Linda's final hours. An intimate gathering will be held in the spring to celebrate Linda's life. You may leave your private condolences for the Skeen family at www.carlsonfh.com.
