Students Build Benches for Musson Softball Complex
Members of the Light Construction and Residential Construction classes at RHS recently built dugout benches for the new softball fields at the Andrea Musson Softball Complex. "The softball fields and Hodag Dome are wonderful assets for our community and to be asked to help with a specific part of the finishing work was an honor," instructor Wil Losch said. "The kids took pride in their work, paying attention to structural details as well as aesthetics." The students created two different bench designs, one that enclosed the dugout posts used on the JV field. A second design, used on the varsity field, allows for the easy addition of block walls to enclose the dugouts in the future. Pictured, from left to right, are students Daniel Schaeffer, Logan Cook, Alycea Kussman, Justin Orth, Tyler Morrison and Jackson Nehls.
