Roughly 40 athletes from around the Northwoods were at the Hodag Dome Saturday, May 21 for the inaugural Northwoods Football Combine.

Athletes were tested in a number of metrics with a number of NCAA Division II and III coaches from the upper Midwest in attendance. The event was put on by the Hodag Gridiron Club and Heck Capital Advisors, in conjuction with MaxOut Sports Testing.

"We saw some great times, some kids from around the area, it just gives them the opportunity to not only be involved in a combine, but talk to college coaches," Rhinelander football coach Aaron Kraemer said. "It was an amazing chance for kids to get out in our dome, recognition for our town and a great day for Northwoods sports."
