Local law students receive legal education scholarship
Johnson and Schallock are both first year law students at Marquette University School of Law and are expected to graduate in May 2024, according to a bar association press release.
"Oneida/Vilas/Forest County Bar Association Scholarship Committee Chairman Thomas E. Lawrence II of Minocqua indicated the Association selected Mr. Johnson and Ms. Schallock on the basis of outstanding academic qualifications in addition to their ties to the local community," the release states.
The scholarship is awarded annually on the basis of a combination of past and potential academic performance, financial need, course of study and residence or significant connections to Oneida, Vilas or Forest counties.
