She was born on October 31, 1945, in Crandon, to Curtis and Fern (Rose) DeMars. She grew up and remained in Crandon her entire life. She married Louis White in June 1964. They later divorced.
Judy is survived by her daughters Jodi (Edward) Space, of Elcho, and Leah (Craig) Lau, of Tomahawk. She is further survived by five grandchildren, Nick (Tara) Alden, Bekah (Dan) Imig, Libby (Dylan) McCorkle, Celia (Nate Anderson) Space, and Ian Charbarneau, as well as six great-grandchildren, Kalli, Emme, Averie, Cullen, Owen, and Jack. Judy is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Bud Charbarneau.
Judy loved her family fiercely. She made many friends over the years through her various places of employment including Twist Drill, Schaefer's, Flowers From the Heart, Valley Bar, and Home Depot. Some of her closest friends were her nieces whom she cherished. She enjoyed nothing more than gathering with family or friends around the table for a good coffee klatch. She enjoyed crocheting, and every family member has received at least one of her creations: a baby afghan, Christmas ornament, or doily. She was an amazing gardener and we were so fortunate to have her help and guidance with our flower selections and care over the years, including deciphering what was a weed and what wasn't. Judy was a very giving person and you could count on her for most anything. She was the best secret keeper and friend a person could ask for. She will be missed beyond measure.
We, her daughters, had the great honor of caring for mom in her final days, along with help from Compassus Hospice. We would like to thank the hospice team as well as mom's primary care provider, Cortney Cleereman, APNP, for the care given to her.
Per her wishes, a graveside service will be held on May 28, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life to follow at Elcho Community Pavilion, N11283 Dorr Street, Elcho, WI 54428.
