John P. Harkins
John completed his primary education at Rhinelander Union High School June of 1979. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy later that year serving on the USS Nimitz, until he was honorably discharged in 1982.
After completing his military service John worked in the food service industry in several U.S. cities until his death from natural causes on June 30, 2021 in San Diego.
John was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother Timothy, and a sister Sheila. John is survived by six brothers; Patrick (Sharon) Minocqua; Dr. Paul (Andrea) Marshfield; Daniel (Jody) Woodruff; Dr. Stephen (Swanny) Tucson, Ariz.; William Jr.(Mary Ellen) Vera Beach, Fla,; DC Michael, Unknown Address.
There will be a private memorial service for John on May 30, in Minocqua. John's remains will be buried in the Nativity of Our Lord Parish Cemetery, Rhinelander, next to the remains of his parents and sister.
