The day began with a parade of teams and recognition speeches at Hodag Park before all teams in the program played 30-minute games at Mel Mode and Minor Fields.
"Thank you to everyone who came to today's Opening Day Celebration!," the organization stated in a Facebook post Saturday evening. "Thank you to the generous donations for our raffle drawings. Thank you to the volunteers who helped out with concessions, raffle tickets sales, and watching the bouncy houses! Thank you to the coaches and players for being engaged and flexible to meet the challenges of the changing schedule! Thank you to the Estabrook family for coming out today to help us thank and honor your father for starting this organization. Thank you to the parents for signing your kids up to play the greatest sport in the world! Let's have an amazing season!"
