Jay graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1970 and then attended UW Eau Claire. He married the former Jodie Roberts and God blessed them with many years together. Jay was employed in the newspaper industry for most of life and had been the publisher of the Rhinelander Daily News at one time.
Jay had a charismatic personality and he enjoyed visiting with anyone. He enjoyed playing the drums and was often mistaken for Santa Claus! He was proud of his hometown and was always involved in promoting Rhinelander in any way that he could.
Jay is survived by his wife Jodie, his children Trisha (Brian) Svoboda, Abbie (Brian) Cline and Travis (Jamie) Anderle, his grandchildren Brooks, Brady and Beckum Anderle, Jared Kellen and Connor Svoboda and Madelyn and Noah Cline; nieces, his sisters Ginger Anderle and Vonda (Michael) Foreman, his brothers Bob (Judy) Anderle and Harry (Sue) Anderle, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son Jay W, his parents, his sister Linda Richter and his brothers, Fred and Lee.
Visitation for Jay will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 10 a.m. until noon with a memorial service following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home.
Mother Meredyth Albright will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Anderle family at www.carlsonfh.com.
