Jake loved adventure, and especially loved to ride his bike through the canyons of Utah. Jake recently took on two major projects at his home in Colorado. He put his heart and soul into finishing his basement and landscaping the largest backyard in Greeley. His work was amazing. Jake loved spending time with his wife Jessica and children Maive and Finn; three people he cherished.
At the time of Jake's death, he was employed by Fidelis Cybersecurity as their Senior Sales Engineer.
Jake is survived by his parents; wife, Jessica; children, Maive and Finnely; brothers, Justin (Melissa) Houg and Jared Houg; niece, Emma Houg; nephews, David and Jase Houg; grandfather, Arnold (Evie) Apfelbeck; and grandmother, Mary Jean Houg.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jane Apfelbeck; grandfather, Alfred Houg; uncle, Alan Apfelbeck; and aunt, Roxanne Apfelbeck.
A celebration of Jake's life will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Town Hall, with a luncheon to follow. You may leave your private condolences for the Houg family at www.carlsonfh.com.
