In 1990 she moved to the Rhinelander area. She was united in marriage to Don "Doc" Schroeder on February 14, 1991. She went to work as a bus driver for the School District of Rhinelander. She loved her bus kids. She volunteered to drive for many sporting events, and field trips. She also drove for the Hodag Country Music Festival that is held in Rhinelander. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2017. She then decided to move to Tomah to be closer to her family. Rollene had a spitfire personality, in her younger years she drove race cars, in her later years she attended the Crandon Offroad Rally with her boys. She enjoyed travelling with Doc, they visited China, Alaska and many trip to Branson. Most important to Rollene was her family. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two children, Lisa (Duane) Lueck, and Dean (Kathy) Yenter, both of Tomah, a stepson Tony (Jill) Schroeder of Rhinelander, two stepdaughters Trudy (John) Houlihan and Teri Schroeder both of Rhinelander; 14 grandchildren, Nicole (Noah) Nauman, Perry (Delilah) Lueck, Austin (Ashley) Yenter, Anthony (Chelsea) Yenter, Dustin (Rachel) Yenter, Jenny, Amanda (Cory), Molly (Nick) Mariah Schroeder, Callie (Julian) Parra, Heather (Ryan) Nieds, Taylor (Spencer) Kibler, Dana Vieux, Kalla Vieux; 25 great-grandchildren, a special niece April Sved, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband Don, she was preceded in death by a grandson Thomas Troyk, a great-granddaughter Brooke Schroeder, three brothers Donnie, Gene, and her twin Rollie; a sister Denise, and a special sister-in-law Dolores Borchardt.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 28, 2022, 2 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E Monowau St. Tomah. Burial will be at a later date.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from noon until the time of the service.
