She was born March 20, 1934 in Appleton, the fourth (a twin) of five children of Cora (Fruit) and Ora H. Breitrick. She was preceded in death by her siblings and parents. However, when she was thirteen, she was born again into God's family where everyone lives forever. (1 Peter 1:3-5)
Lois was virtually a lifelong resident of Appleton (Grand Chute), graduating from Appleton High School in 1952. She married Wallace (Wally) Drescher, in 1959. They were together for 56 years before his passing in 2015. Lois first worked at the Appleton Public Library. After marrying Wally, they took over the Breitrick family farm, and she became a full-time farmer's wife. In the process, Lois and Wally raised four rambunctious farm boys. Later in life, sometime after selling the family farm, she found employment in a kitchen gadget store called The Wire Whisk. This was a dream job for her. She always spoke fondly of working there. She worked there for several years until Wally's health declined to the point where he needed her for full-time care.
She loved many kinds of crafts and excelled in sewing, making dresses, quilts and many other items made from all kinds of fabrics. She always had a large vegetable garden and raised sheep so she could spin the wool and then knit it into sweaters and such. She once raised chinchillas and made a shawl from the pelts. She loved to learn all kinds of crafts.
Lois grew up along with lifelong friends in her church now known as Faith Community United Methodist Church (Greenville). Lois and Wally had great voices and loved to sing together at church. Living out her faith over the years, she volunteered for many and various kinds of church activities and was very active in her church community all her life. She and Wally passed their faith in Christ on to their four boys who endeavor to model it to Lois' nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In 2017, she moved to Rhinelander and became a member of Pine Grove Community Church and has been an active attendee there ever since.
Lois is survived by her four sons: Dennis (Nancy), Rodney (Norma), Terry (Lynn), and Lyndon (Bekah). Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
