Jim was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander. He graduated from the Rhinelander High School in 1976. During his high school years he was employed by the Red Owl and the A & W. After graduating from high school he went to work for McDonalds for 31 years and then for Trig's as the dairy and frozen foods manager for another 12 years. During these times he was affectionately known as the "McDonalds Man" and then as "Jim Perry in the Dairy."
Jim married the former Karen Vozka on May 18, 1996 and they were blessed with nearly 26 years of marriage.
Jim loved football and was an avid fan of the Packers and the Badgers. He enjoyed visiting Goodwill to see what treasure he could find and he was a huge fan of the Beatles.
Jim is survived by his wife Karen, his daughters Elizabeth (Matt) Leslie and Brianna (Connor Pargman) Perry, his sons Robert (Jessica) Perry and Tim (Rachael) Perry, his grandchildren Landon, Bradlee, Carson and Jackson, his mother Mavis Perry, his sisters Janet (Dave) Harmon, Sandy (Roy) Egelhoff and Barb (Greg) Schmidt, his in-laws Mark (Cindi) Vozka, Gary (Cindy) Vozka, Debbie (Jim) Wittmann and Randy Vozka,nieces, nephews, and his furry friends Toby, Jaeger and Domino. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Perry.
Visitation for Jim will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home. You may leave your private condolences for the Perry family at www.carlsonfh.com.
