Ilona "Loni" Pepe
She was born in Ritterhude, Germany Nov. 30, 1950 to Kurt and Adel Pudschun. Loni studied beautician and cosmetology in Bremen, Germany. She had her own hair styling salon for 34 years.
She was married to Alex Allert for more than 30 years. They had purchased a home in Elcho in 1989. He died in Bremen, Germany in 2000.
She met David Pepe in Bremen, Germany in 2001. They married in Elcho March 30, 2002. They purchased property in Pelican Lake and built their home there. They were married for 20 wonderful and blessed years. Loni was a member of the Pelican Lake Lioness Club, Elcho for 17 years. She and David bred Deutscher Wachtelhunds, a rare breed of German hunting dogs. She and David formed the Deutscher Wachtelhund North America, Inc. breed club for their beloved dogs. She had fun in life and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, David Pepe.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon with Father Francios Mukosa officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to time of service at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery.
