Amy was a 1985 graduate of the Rhinelander High School. She was happiest when she was helping others, whether it was at the day care where she worked helping the children or at the nursing home where she worked assisting the elderly. Amy enjoyed word puzzles and arts and crafts and loved going to craft shows and selling the items she made. She had a huge heart and loved her family dearly. She was not only a mom to Andrew and Ian, but was a mom to so many others. She accepted everyone just as they were. Amy was a true gift to this world and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her mother, Mickey Silva, of Tomahawk; her husband, William Newman, of Rhinelander; and two sons, Killian Silva and Andrew Egan, both of Rhinelander.
Amy is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, David Silva.
